Dr. Gabrilovich is the Professor and Program Leader of Translational Tumor Immunology at the Wistar Institute. Dr. Gabrilovich’s research has focused on the way that myeloid cells regulate immune responses their interactions with cancer. The term “myeloid-derived suppressor cells” (MDSC) was coined by Dr. Gabrilovich and his colleagues.
